Let me introduce you to an old friend of mine. This is Bear! He is only 10 days younger than his old friend Pappy. Yes, they both show their age! Below you will find some facts about Bear that may be of some interest to you.

A LITTLE INFORMATION ABOUT ME
Where do I start to tell you about myself. First off my name is Bear. I am a 15" tall Teddy Bear that Santa Claus put under the tree for Jim on his first Christmas that was only 10 days after he was born, and yes I am suppose to be a black and white panda. The reason I am the color I am now is a long story. Jim had a Collie dog named Lucky and he was always tied to a dog house, out in the back yard. Poor Lucky had nothing to play with so being the friend Jim always was to both Lucky and I, he let us play together. You guessed it, after we played together for the better part of the day and all that night I was quite dirty when Jim took me back into the house. Not wanting his Mom to see the shape I was in, he washed me in the toilet. When his Mom found the wet Teddy Bear lying on the bathroom floor and found out what Jim had done, well you know what happened to him. His Mom then washed me and wanting to get me dryed so he could take me to bed with him that night, she put me in the oven to dry. Forgetting about me until it was to late, I came out of the oven a little scorched, hense the color I am now. I have had three sets of eyes, the ones that was on me when I was new, I think I lost these when I played with Lucky, they were replaced with buttons and then after a while I received the ones I have now. I have had many operations so that I could be restuffed and not with what I started off with. I believe I am stuffed with scraps of cloth and newspaper now. As far as fur, I have none, well I have some but not very much. I don't know if the loss of fur comes from age like humans loss of hair or if it comes from what all I have had done to me over the years. I am now dressed has a Jester but this is only one of many outfits I have been dressed in. My first outfit was a pair of PJ's that matched the PJ's Jim's Grandmother made for him. Not long after I got my PJ's I found a place to sit on his night stand and that is where I sit to this day. Oh, I was dressed as a Sailor and found my way under the Christmas Tree once again. This was the first Christmas Jim spent in the Navy. One year I was found under the Christmas Tree dressed as Santa Claus. Jim was asked to let the Grandchildren play with me and he said, if they want a bear to play with, someone will need to buy them one. I have been through so much and he didn't think I could take to much more. Like that would have been any worse than spending all the time I did in Lucky's mouth. Oh, by the way, Lucky never got punished for what he had done to me, but Jim sure did. Hope you enjoyed this little story about me and I would like to thank you for visiting my page. A special thanks to Jim for keeping me around for all these years.
